Your Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer at nuwacom, you will be instrumental in building, scaling, and securing our cloud-native infrastructure. Working at the intersection of development and operations, you will ensure that our AI-powered platform runs reliably, efficiently, and securely for enterprise clients. You will collaborate closely with Developers, Data Scientists, and Product Owners to deliver a resilient, high-performance foundation that enables innovation and seamless deployment of intelligent features.
Design, implement, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform
Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for high availability, performance, and scalability
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure reproducible, version-controlled infrastructure
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable fast and reliable software delivery
Implement comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions for metrics, logs, and distributed tracing
Integrate security controls throughout the development lifecycle and infrastructure (DevSecOps approach)
Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards
Automate provisioning, deployment, and operational processes to minimize manual intervention
Collaborate across teams to streamline workflows and foster a strong DevOps culture
Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and runbooks to promote transparency, clarity, and knowledge sharing
Your Qualifications
Required
3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles
Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and management
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, plus familiarity with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
Solid scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or Node.js
Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments
Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive, analytical mindset
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
Fluency in English – our working language (German is a plus)
Nice to Have
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security automation tools
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and database operations in cloud environments
Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure or data science workflows
Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices
Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in DevOps communities
